Index CFDs – Top 10

Index CFD trading provides a great way to speculate on the performance of each overall stock market; as opposed to selecting individual stocks and shares.

As you are spreading your risk across a whole market rather than a single company, index CFDs are often viewed as being less of a risk than trading individual stocks. This allows for potential diversified exposure, as most of the factors that affect individual companies are taken out of the equation.

Ballistic Markets offers access to the world largest markets:

  • FTSE 100 Index
  • Australian 200
  • Nikkei 225
  • Dax
  • Spain 35
  • Eurostoxx50
  • France CAC40
  • Hang Seng
  • Nasdaq
  • S&P500
  • Dow Jones

Commodities and Metals CFDS

Trading commodities is the world’s oldest market offering volatile products, influenced by the environment and both political and economic factors.

An inherent advantage of trading commodities via a CFD is the ability to trade on margin, meaning, that you only have to deposit a small percentage of the overall value of the trade. A standard lot size traded on the futures market can be substantial for a retail trader, but using a CFD reduces the exposure which makes it easier to manage risk.

Many smart investors trade precious metals in order to diversify their portfolio and hedge their positions. Such investments are often viewed as safe havens during times of economic turmoil.

At Ballistic Markets we offer access to Gold, Silver and Crude Oil.

Speculate, hedge and diversify your portfolio by trading the most popular markets with Ballistic Markets.

What is Margin trading?

Margin trading means that you do not have to deposit the full amount of money that you wish to trade.

Your profit and your losses are based on the FULL value of your position, and not just the percentage of deposit you stake. This leverage as it is known means that a small movement in the underlying instrument can mean a large profit or loss.

We offer margin up to 1% or 100:1 so with a starting deposit of $10,000 you could trade an equivalent position of $1,000,000.

What are the risks?

The increased investment power provided by the leverage is a double edged sword. Profits are unlimited but you can lose all or a large portion of your capital if the market moves against your positions.

This means that margin trading is a high risk product and not suitable for all investors.

At Ballistic Markets we advise  our clients to follow an active money and risk management plan.

Please refer to our risk policies for further information.

What are the costs of trading?

When you trade you pay the difference between the price you can buy for and that at which you can sell. This spread between the prices is a cost to your trading and hence to your profits. The tighter the spread the less you need the price to move in your favour to make a profit.

What are your spreads and commisions?

Spread is only part of the story. We understand that keeping your trading costs low increases your potential for profits.

While other brokers may initially match our spreads, we know that in the long term they would not be able to consistently.

Our business model is based around offering our clients fair, reliable, consistent and competitive pricing.
